What is live portrait drawing?
Live portrait drawing involves sketching a subject in real-time, focusing on capturing quick, expressive likenesses.
What materials do you use?
I draw portraits in black archival ink and and add color accents with colored pencils. I use heavyweight, acid-free drawing paper. This ensures that the artwork does not deteriorate over time.
Portraits are 8×10″ size and packaged with a backing board and plastic sleeve to protect the artwork.
What kind of events are you available for?
Live portraits are great for events like weddings, corporate functions, brand activations, birthday parties, etc.
As long as your venue can accommodate a small table and a couple chairs for guests to sit, then we will be able to work together!
What does it actually look like to have live portraits at an event?
I will have a small table and a couple chairs available for guests to sit while I draw them in real-time. One drawing typically takes 7-10 mins. I typically draw portraits with one, two or a maximum of three subjects.
Guests also have the option of sending me a picture of themselves and I can use it as a reference to draw them instead.

How much do live portraits cost?

Do you travel for events?
I draw for events in the Austin, TX metro area. If your event is outside of the Austin metro area, I charge a travel fee based on the distance + any lodging required to work the event.
